The problem I have is that all of his music is on tapes. I'd like to use Garageband to import the tracks. Does anyone know how to do that?
Obviously I need a tape deck of some type, but how would I connect that to my computer? Is there any other equipment or special connectors that I'll need?
I use one of the brand new flat screen dual core Intel iMacs and I have the latest version of Garageband.
A) If there is a headphone socket on your cassette player then it's easy. You will need a cable with a stereo jack plug (3.5mm) at each end. You will also need a recording programme,Garage band should be OK. Then plug the cable into the headphone socket on the tape, and the line in socket behind your computer. Start off with the tape volume fairly low and adjust till the recording levels are OK just to test. Then simply record to your computer. If you wish to convert to MP3 you will need an encoder, Hope this helps. In Smackdown vs Raw 2008 on Xbox 360 how do you import music?Q) I've just created chris jericho and i want to put his music on his entrance (i have his song on cd) . hope i helped. Is the quality of music the same on a CD as it is on the iTunes Music Store.?Q) Also--If I buy a CD, and then import it into iTunes; does the quality lessen.
I am a music fanatic and want the best quality music possible. I want to make sure that music downloaded from online is good, and that putting music on my iPod doesn't lessen the quality.
I will personally choose a best answer. Thank You!
A) putting music on your Ipod through Itunes will lessen the quality noticeably iif your used to listening to the same music on a top quality sound system. However the drop in sound quality isn't so severe that it is worth the file size almost tripling to receive CD quality playback. whilst it is possible to achieve this, the number of tracks you will be able to fit on your Ipod will be severely limited.
Its also worth noting that the headphones you get with an i-pod are pants and you'd also need to go out and buy a new pair if you want to get any real bennifit out of changing the recording quality too.I have just bought an ipod shuffle and cannot import CD?Q) Please can you help. I have managed to load the tracks onto the library screen on the computer but there is no music on the ipod. What am I doing wrong?
A) don't have a clue to your question, just felt sorry for you cos no-one had answered your question and i didn't want you to feel left out.Importing Music into I Tunes?Q) For some reason I Tunes will not let me record music directly from an audio CD into an I Tunes folder. The program will read the CD disc (with track names etc), and then give me the option of whether or not I want to import the disc - but when I try to import, I get an error message "I Tunes has encountered a problem and needs to close". Strangely I can import music from another program (like Windows Media Player), but it's just from disc that is the problem. Can anybody help?
A) It sounds like you have a defective version of iTunes. Download iTunes again and see if this fixes the problem.
You might also try to
Reboot your computer.
Some disks have a copy protection feature that will not allow them to be stored electronically. This may be your real problem.
Good luck.
PS I have 60 GB of music that I transferred from disk so it should work. I have only had a few problems overall and it turned out to be a copy protected disk.Problem with music?Q) My boyfriend bought a new ipod, so we imported a load of his c.d music onto itunes. Some of it was from an old c.d or2. now when he started to listen to his ipod about 5% of the songs came out fuzzy. We listened to the songs on itunes and they were bad to. We thought that they were from the old cd music but later discovered that the newest c.d had a fuzzy track. What has caused this? could the computer be scratching the c.d? will it damage the ipod? what can I do to prevent damage to a new c.d? Thanks.
When I say fuzzy, It is the kind of thing you get from a scratched track on a c.d. (I think on some players it will play that track, and on others it will not).
A) Can you be more specific about fuzzy???
Open itunes
Click Edit
Go to Preferences
Go to Advance tab, from there goto Importing tab
From there in the 'Import using' section select MP3
and the quality setting. Try rip another cd and see if there is any difference.
If it is still the same, rip your cd using windows media player, and import the songs into itunes.
No damage is being caused to your ipod
Check your cd for any scratch. If there is any after you use it in your cd drive then the problem is the drive.(it is rare though)how do i get music from the itunes screen to play?Q) i have downloaded some music from limewire , i can see them in itunes but not on ipod, i have pressed import but nothing. i imported a cd and that worked fine so what am i doing wrong
A) the music that you want you need to add it to a play-list

you add your music on to that play-list
then go where ever you go to upload them to your ipod
and then you check on the playlist and you press the button for upload and thats it
it should work cuz thats how i did it :)How do I transfer music to a video i pod?Q) I want to transfer new music to my ipod without losing the exisitng music already held on it. I have i tunes installed and when I have imported a cd to the library and then transferred to my ipod it ends up deleting everything else. Any help appreciated.
A) Plug the ipod in and check the tick box, if you havent already, only sync checked items, so in your itunes just check the songs you want, or if that option is what you have done already, alternatively check the 'manually manage music' box.
Also, if youb have music on your iPod that is not in your itunes, download 'iPod to PC'. Just google it and download it.
Hope that helps, sorry if it hasn't.Can't get music downloaded from iTunes to play on my Samsung E900 ...?Q) I have used iTunes to put music onto my phone before. My Samsung E900 plays music that has been imported into iTunes from a CD, then copied onto the memory card of the phone, but any music that I have downloaded from the iTunes Music Store then copied onto the phone's memory card won't play - it says 'Unsupported flie type', even though it is the same file type as the files that came straight from a CD.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem please?
A) I'm not familiar with Samsungs, but I reckon its music player supports MP3s. All you need to do is find and download a program that converts whatever format iTunes songs are in to MP3.
Go to: downloads.com and do a search.
There might be free ones, but if not, you can just download a trial version, use it, and then uninstall it when you've finished.

Some CDs may have copyright issues that keep it from importing the songs into your iTunes Library.how do i import a Music CD to cakewalk to edit and make changes to a beat?A) I don't think you can. In order to edit a track in any studio software, the tracks have to be separate. Music CD's are already mixed and mastered. It dosen't pop up on itunes. I don't know what to do! Is it that burned cds don't work?
A) iTunes can read standard burned audio cds. If it's a data or mp3 cd it might not show up directly in itunes, but you should be able to copy the music off the cd and onto your computer, then load it into itunes, presuming the CD isn't damaged and your computer recognizes that the CD is there and that all the music on the CD is in a format iTunes can read or convert (aac, mp3, wma, aif, wav, apple lossless, etc).I'm a new iTunes 4 user use iTunes to import music Form CD will cost money?A) I want to know hot to download music to my daughters ipod, and can i import music from cd's? how do i do thisQ) Its an ipod nano
